OUTBOUND CALL CENTER REP

As an Outbound Call Center Representative, you will perform a wide variety of insurance billing duties in support of the revenue cycle management (RCM) department. As an integral part of our RCM team the position serves in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment in order to meet performance and quality assurance benchmarks. Essential duties include various aspects of patient collections.

Responsibilities:
• Handling collections on unpaid patient account balances.
• Answering patients’ billing questions.
• Follow client protocols for patient collection.
• Keep current on informational changes in billing/collection procedures
• Meet benchmarks for patient collection volume.
• Learn or know how to read and understand an EOB.
• Communicate/answer questions regarding outstanding patient collection issues and returning patient phone calls
• 3+ years of relevant experience OR degree from an accredited college
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously
• Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
• Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer services skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
