ABOUT OUR FAMILY
Beverly and Michael Smith established Career Staffing Services in 2000. They had one central principle for their business: to treat others like you would want to be treated. The Smiths have been dedicated to creating a team of capable staffing professionals from the very beginning. Professionals who are industry certified and well-versed in staffing in the Healthcare/Medical, Clerical, and Light Industrial industries and also possess the expertise necessary to help candidates and clients reach their goals.

Beverly Smith, President and Founder of CSS, has been working closely with with businesses in Central Arkansas to develop and maintain their workforce since 1995. She has a BBA from Harding University and is a Certified Staffing Professional through the American Staffing Association. She, along with her husband, Michael, credit the success of CSS to persistence, tenacity, and being students of the staffing industry.
CSS is proud to be a generational business. In 2016 and 2017, Beverly and Michael’s son and daughter-in-law, Bo and McKenzie Smith, became integral to the firm’s daily operations. Bo recruits primarily for our medical clients. Additionally, he creates content for the CSS social media accounts and blog, while also heading our community and chamber activities. McKenzie serves as our Office Manager, overseeing CSS’s back-office functions, including payroll, invoicing and compliance. She keeps us organized, ensuring our processes are streamlined, efficient and effective.
In 2020, Melissa McKinzie joined our CSS “family” as Staffing Manager. With over a decade of experience in the staffing and recruiting industry, she manages the team of recruiters ensuring that they have the tools they need to serve our Clients. Melissa also oversees the Client onboarding and job order intake process. She spends her time really getting to understand their needs and then she works her magic as our Chief Solutions Creator to solve their pressing hiring and retention issues.
The core values of our team remain strong today. We offer a caring environment where everyone feels valued. In addition to being leaders in our recruiting and staffing fields, we strive to be as accessible as possible for candidates and clients alike.
