Fluxcore Welder

Responsible primarily for welding material according to specifications of the job order. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting and shipping. • Located the pieces approved by Quality Control for welding; gathering equipment necessary to complete the piece. • Clean welded pieces for next phase of processing. • Responsible for adhering to all company safety equipment and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations. • Perform non essential duties as needed. Must be able to read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions. Ability to read and understand structural drawings and blueprints are required. Must have the ability to pass a 1G FCAW and 1G SWAW welding test. Machinst or punch press knowledge a plus. Physical Demands Job requires excessive amounts of bending and stooping. Must be able to tolerate a dusty and noisy work environment. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures. There will be other duties as required.

QA Manager

FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY!!! PREVIOUS FOOD EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL!!! Ability to take a practical, commonsense approach to quality and technical aspects in a busy craft bakery where some of the products are handmade. Working closely with operations team to ensure maintenance of high standards of quality and service. Role requirements • Monitor quality around the departments of the facility. • Responsible for Food Safety Quality Systems in the Bakery. • Monitoring, actioning and responding to complaints and non-compliances. • Knowledge of HACCP and ability to train others on the basic HACCP principles and review HACCP as required. • Understanding of current food safety legislation. • Assist with delivering training on food safety and hygiene to an accredited standard. • Be able to monitor raw material specifications and systems. • Undertake internal audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken. • Audit a range of external supplier and be able to feedback corrective actions. • Support on undertaking quality checks on products. • Undertake ad-hoc projects as required. • Ability to write food safety policy. Personal Qualities • Some previous quality/ technical experience in the food production, ideally 2-4 years experience • To be logical and well organised • Excellent people skills – ability to work with a range of people and achieve positive change • Be able to give constructive feedback • Hands on approach to work • Ability to work on own and use initiative • A self starter • Good communication skills • Flexibility – some early starts are required and some weekend work • Food Science or Technology qualification needed • Common sense approach to work • Eye for detail • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve goals • Able to finish and complete work without prompts • Need to be based in a commutable area, or willing to re-locate. Experience – 2-4 years in a food role, with a technical and quality focus to the job there needs to be a commonsense/ hands-on approach but with an understanding of quality systems. The ability to input into NPD processes required.
