Class C Welder
Responsible primarily for welding material according to specifications of the job order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Receive and understand welding symbols and select proper welding material needed to finish for fitting, painting and shipping.
• Located the pieces approved by Quality Control for welding; gathering equipment necessary to complete the piece.
• Clean welded pieces for next phase of processing.
• Responsible for adhering to all company safety equipment and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
• Perform non essential duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of one year of welding experience is required, could be substituted with Welding Certificate. Must be able to read and comprehend welding symbols and instructions. Ability to read and understand structural drawings is required. Must have the ability to pass a 1G FCAW and 1G SWAW welding test.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently is required. Excessive amounts of overtime and weekend work as needed. Job requires excessive amounts of bending and stooping. Must be able to tolerate a dusty and noisy work environment. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures.
There will be other duties as required.
